Went here with my family and visiting brother in December. I really enjoyed the atmosphere.
The mussels and fries w/aioli are the best I've had, and I seek this dish out wherever I go. The buttermilk fried quail were absolutely perfect. Crispy, crunchy on the outside, fall apart tender on the inside. The duck liver mousse w/ Flanders ale gelee was fun and delicious. The farmstead cheese plate was excellent, and paired really well with the beer I was having. A saison, I believe.
My brother is a picky eater, so he got the burger and fries. He claimed it was the best he'd had. I really loved the attention to detail given to every dish. The chef has really hit it on the nose. The cocktails were sublime. Sessions is a great place, and I can't wait to get back. Bravo!

I had the carne asada torta. Soggy on the bottom, which can indicate juicy goodness. Not. Meat was tough and grisly. Wife ordered carnitas burrito. The pork tasted like it was boiled. Daughter got bean and cheese burrito. Mediocre. Chips were cold as ice. Salsa, bland. When we entered the front door, the bus person was cleaning a table with a smelly rag. We should have left right then.

Good quality produce at excellent prices. That's what this place is known for. I went in for a quick pasta dinner, and was impressed with the selection! Pasta galore, from five or six different makers, and the sauce was cheaper than that big box down the street. They carry one of my favorite beers: Leffe Blonde and the wine selection is great. Customer service is good, and the turkey I ordered for Thanksgiving was delicious!

Went here with a friend on the way home from bicycle ride in the East Bay hills. Usually, after a long ride, anything tastes good. I wasn't a big fan of Pyramid beer in the first place, but I hadn't tasted it in a while, so...
Due to my skepticism, I ordered McTarnahan's Inkblot Baltic Porter. Only later did I realize, this was also a Pyramid brew, under a different name.
First off, the pouring was terribly done, presented in a pint glass with zero head. This isn't a keg party, people! I asked the waitress to pour it into a proper glass. To her credit, she did so efficiently. Still a bad pour, with close to no head. Despite that, the beer had a nice aroma, with some nice caramel and plum notes. Taste was somewhat acidic, though easy to drink. Spiciness on finish, but would expect more with a Baltic porter. Pretty easy to drink, and I should have had another, because the rest of Pyramid's offerings are close to drain pours.
I had the iceberg wedge, which was fine, but really hard to screw up. Next time, I'll go to Trumer Brauerei. Duh.
