The waiter was friendly and hospitable without being pushy, I was offered complimentary soup whilst I waited for my order. Food was lovely, very tasty with its own flavours making it different from other Afghani restaurants. The Afghani Tikka lamb, well marinated chunks of meat, was beautifully cooked with naan and a refreshing salad. The fried aubergine in tomato sauce was the highlight, delicious, my father's Egyptian so I've had a lot of aubergine, this was really tasty. Lots of garlic and big juicy pieces of red pepper. The spinach palak, tasted so creamy, although it wasn't. The pickle was a surprise, similar to Punjabi pickles I've tasted, with large pieces of pickled ginger giving it a taste of it's own and actually those green beans were chillies, I discovered as hiccups ensued. The Firnee was a creamy milky dessert, thickened slightly with ground almonds, and spiced with cardomen. A new favourite. Portions, rather than being overly large as some Arab restaurants can be, instead was about just right and prices were modest. For 2 of us it set us back £20 for which we were well satisfied, with a little left over.Very tasty and friendly service, we'll be visiting again
