Another nice weatherspoons to my list, quite intimate little place. Seating on different levels with soft seat booths. Same prices & quality of food. I will be back.

Fantastic value for money, mich bigger portions than I expected for the price. We went on the Thursday and it was Curry night. Not as many in as we expected but that wasn't a bad thing. Food was OK but the prices were really good.

This is a really gret place if you want a cheap pint or a glass of wine. They also do fab quality food for very reasonable prices. Their new £2.99 food menu includes ham, egg and chips; cottage pie, chips & veg; jacket potato and tuna and loads more!


I have always found the atmosphere to be relaxed and it is so nice to find a child friendly place that does great meals!

Its a Weatherspoons and whilst i always appreciate them as my lifeboat in aleless places this has nothing to mark it out extra special .

Run and operated by J D Wetherspoons, this is a typical Wetherspoons outlet. It has 3 floors with a couple more little rooms which are good for a more intimate dining experience, however it makes the place into a bit of a maze!


The food is typical Wetherspoons fare, and while it is a particualrly good example of their food, it's nothing special and the menu offers nothing out of the ordinary. They have a large range of different beers, with varying guest beers. They also have a good range of different spirits and alcopops.


Conveniently situated in the middle of North Road, it's cheap and cheerful, an ideal place for staring a night out before heading to Studio nighclub across the road.

Another Wetherspoons pub, where I had a good experience. This branch is far bigger than the one in nearby Sunderland. I've no complaints about the staff, service, range of beers, food etc. as it was all good and there was also a very good atmosphere in the pub!

Great beer. Cask Marque. £1.75 a pint.
Typical grot levels for Wetherspoons but less scary alchy people than others. Handy for a quick pint. Probably scary on a Fri night.

Always good for a cheap meal and a pint-a good choice of food and plenty of special offers on the go. The location is central and convenient and service is friendly and competent. The entrance is big and imposing, a bit like some sort of nightclub dancefloor (I'm too old/boring for that kind of thing) but the eating area has a much more homely feel. Lacking in natural light, but I'm just being picky. Can't be beaten for value for money.
