The Chequers

Loved the Sunday roast with a choice of 4 meats and fluffy roast potatoes. Apple pie and custard-beautiful. Atmosphere calm and friendly in a real pub setting. No gastro New York bar / loft setting and spent 3 hrs just talking and laughing. One of my favourite eateries in the UK. Beer good too. No pretension and no screaming kids or adults for that matter. Enjoy!

A nice clean pub in Streatley, just north of Luton. Quite a large outdoor seating area, as well as a decent amount inside. Friendly service. Decent prices.
Located near quite a few walks in the Chilterns this is a good place to keep in mind for a quick pint and bite after a walk.
Also has rooms that you can stay in, don't know much about htese however.
