Such amazing hot chocolate. Tip: they do have a take away drink counter you just have to go past the hostess stand to the bar area. Also enjoyed their macarons.

It didn't take long after touchdown in Zurich to see that Sprüngli was the place to be. I mean, they were everywhere! We stopped into this location as it appeared to be one of the largest I'd seen. The place is gorgeous, a treat lovers heaven. The cakes were stunning. I picked up a boxed set of assorted macaroons for my sons girlfriend and an assorted chocolate pralines box for my grandma.
Service was so friendly and nice. I'd say this is a must visit for a special little gift for someone. Their prices were totally comparable to what you'd expect to pay at similar shops such as Ladurée Paris or other famous treat houses.Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - 2828460511/10/2018
First timer.
St. Honore is 3 stars. It was ok. I have had much better (made by my father who was a French pastry chef, and made by me as well). The pate a choux was good but the cream was not. It was missing something. I loved the concept of a mini tart size.
Brioche is two stars. It was not good. Not brioche at all since the dough was so different and tastes so generic. I had brioches's in Fribourg and there you will have the authentic French experience of the Brioche.
Over priced for the experience.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 10/03/2018
A very famous place for visitors AND for the locals. A long waiting time during lunch and if you eat solo (like me), you might be asked to share a table with strangers. The food is great except I personally not a fan of seating with other people especially "forced" to.

When your friends back home ask for Swiss chocolates you must buy them from here! You definitely cannot find this brand back home, and it tastes a zillion times better than Lindt. The store feels very posh, and the tins the chocolate come in are really fancy. I stocked up right before my flight and they made it back without issue, and everyone was happy with their new chocolates.

A must visit Swiss luxury confectionary cafe when you're in Zurich.
They have their signature macarons called "Luxemburgerli", handmade Swiss chocolates, cakes (amazing chocolate truffle cake) and baked goods (cheese twists, Bretzelkönig).

The little macaron Luxumbourgis are fantastic, we ended up getting a box of them and they offered us free one each. I'm a big fan of macarons in general and these are as good as any I've had - in fact the little mandarin ones are particularly good while the others are on par with any I've had in Paris and London.
After enjoying the shop on the ground floor, we headed up to the first floor for the main tea room where we had a couple of drinks and some cakes. I had a really quite good eclair while my wife had this tarli thing with chestnut... well... I'm not sure what to call it - strings? fondant? icing? Probably string paste is the closest. Anyway, it was interesting and really pretty but I wasn't the biggest fan as it was just too strong for me.
My wife ordered a hot chocolate, which was strong and not at all sweet - it was a much more savoury chocolate than we were expecting but it was really good all the same. Almost made you think that it was every other hot chocolate that tastes wrong. But a warning - it came with a little chocolate which I ate - I popped the whole thing in my mouth and started eating it... MISTAKE!!!! It's really strong, like the strongest dark chocolate I've ever had. Don't eat it all at once, it might be small but nibble on it as it's super intense!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Charlene L.Dallas, Estados Unidos2404056746/09/2013
Champagne! Salted Caramel! Chocolate! Hazelnut! Mocha! All these flavors and more easily shine through these delicious luxembergerli creations. Are they pastries? Macaroons, perhaps? Or mini cakes maybe? No.. they are in their own category... LUXEMBERGERLI! I'm told they are like macaroons, but I'm not in a position to compare, as I haven't tasted macaroons before.. that will change in my upcoming Paris trip! :)
Overall, these little, plump and chubby airy pieces of heaven are tasty and delicate! I normally do not have a sweet tooth, but I admit, I bought a box of 15 pieces to sample the different variations. Although passing out a few of them, I ate most of them.. within the same day! The good thing though is, despite the reality, I didn't feel guilty since these seemed to be light, fluffy treats!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Nola G.Paris, França601156122036/09/2016
This is a small Confiserie Sprungli shop located a few blocks away from the Sprungli headquarters on Bahnhofstrasse 21 at Paradeplatz. This location has all of the fabulous seasonal "Luxemburgerli" and chocolates located in the larger shops. It is great to quickly stop in without the crowds. Everything in the shop is fresh without flavoring or coloring enhancers and preservatives. You can pick your assortment of flavors of Luxemburgerli in any size box you prefer. They place a note inside the box that states, "Bitte sofort geniessen. A déguster immédiatement SVP. Please enjoy immediately." Hey-no problem!!! (Seriously...due to the delicacy, freshness, quality of the ingredients, and fluctuations in humidity the product can loose the airy consistency.) Enjoy!!!! www.spruengli.com

Love these tiny Luxemburgerli! It can be stored up to 72 hours if you are bringing it home as a gift but Best Buy it on the date of your flight right before you board to ensure best quality and kept in cool temperatures if possible. I did it and carried it all the way back to LA!
