Clean rooms with a spacious bathroom. TV, complimentary biscuits and tea/coffee. The full English breakfast was amazing and the view from the building was probably the best in Sunderland (although this isn't saying much).
Although it was more for a room then I wanted to pay (to be fair I was on a backpackers budget), it was worth it and if you're in Sunderland (not sure why you would be) it's a solid place to stay.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Utilizador Qype (fogg…)Salford, Reino Unido151374713/01/2011
What can I say about this hotel? I just love it, always have done :) Nothing like having your breakfast overlooking the sea, and Roker is a nice beach too! I stay in this place every time I work in the NE, even if I'm 15 miles away in Newcastle!
You have 3 different restaurants to choose from, Italian, Thai or traditional pub grub in the R Bar (formerly The Roker Tavern). The rooms are clean and modern, there's free wifi, and the staff are fantastic. If you like a drink, you'll love the 'happy hour game' from 4.30pm till 7pm (Mon-Thurs), if you're a smoker, there's a nice bit of decking out the front overlooking the sea.
The sea front is great, great for a walk or cycle on a nice day. Or you can walk out to the famous Roker lighthouse right in front of the hotel. There's also a good pub on the beach, right in front of the hotel, called The Smugglers. I particularly like this pub, it has a lot of live music and open mic nights. Stay at the Roker, you'll love it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
