This place is ridiculously large, and very spread out. Wear your comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk.
This was my first time to Messe Frankfurt so I didn't know what to expect. The CPhI show that I attended used 11 halls I believe, and several were using 2 floors. To get between each hall you must use interconnecting walkways, but from Hall 1 to Hall 11 is quite a trek. There is a shuttle that runs between them also, but the line was also quite long.
The halls are clean and well lit. Most have very high ceilings, but a few were much lower and felt cramped (and hot).
There were plenty of restaurants available for lunch, and the food was of decent quality and price.
Getting to the Messe was easy as there was a subway station located within the center. Getting onto a train after the show can take awhile however. The Messe is about 20-25 minute walk from the city center shopping area.
Overall, it is not one of my favorite venues for trade fairs.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Austen M.Glasgow, Reino Unido528680200220/02/2016
I get to see a lot of massive European exhibition halls as part of work trips and this is definitely one of the bigger ones. Your could trail around this for a full day (we did) and still not get to see every hall. We managed 9 out of around 15-20 but that was definitely enough.
There are a couple of things to say. Positives are that it has good transport links, there is a shuttle bus to run you between halls (yes it's that big) and I quite like that some of it is built up the way rather than just sprawling over a huge area. Means lots of escalators to get you to the higher halls, but that's ok in my opinion. Other than that it was clean, efficient and A ok all round.
Nothing to fear here if you are exhibiting at or visiting a show here. We were at the ambiente show and it was excellent. Well worth a look.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Martin B.Praga, República Checa117293132521/05/2015
I was here only once at IMEX event which isn't the biggest of the exhibition taking place here. Parking and access was easy and the neighborhood was quite pleasant residential quarter. Of course there is always quite a lot of walking involved to get where needed. The empty halls are not cozy but purely functional.
The offer of refreshment was satisfactory. The staff was plentiful and helpful. See you next year Frankfurt Messe, I guess.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Willy W.Culver City, Estados Unidos12470195828/09/2013
stopped by for the Messe for the Frankfurt Motor Show.
It's gigantic. But more importantly, it's a very good convention hall with easy access by metro even from the major train station nearby.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Utilizador Qype (atparr…)Aylesbury, Reino Unido584398/10/2008
This is THE exhibition centre in Frankfurt, a bit like the NEC in Birmingham. There are over 10 halls that can be used, all linked by very pleasant internal walkways. The signage is very good and is easy to follow. There a variety of cafes and restaurants in the facility. One strange things is that they operate a deposit system for your coffee cups (0.5 euro). The centre is easily accessable via the Frankfurt underground, but be warned this can get very busy at the end of the day. There is a taxi rank, and once the drivers know there is an event on there is no shortage of cabs.
