As my partner recommended this place, our friends and I came to this place mainly was to just try out their Weißwurst breakfast. I am not a fan, but also don't have problem to eat it. It actually turned out to be fine. It tasted a bit better than the one I tried before. Well, at least my partner enjoyed it really much. Some of our friends also ordered other style of breakfast the restaurant offered. The food also looked great. The drinks here is quite nice as well, it came with quite a big glass. The Part I found a big pity was, not many options for breakfast on the menu.
The place is nice decorated, the place is also kind big. It made people feel free and relax. Maybe it was just because it was just too early for most of people. But it could be the nice place to have a coffee, read something and start the day. The service was alright, the price also. The location of this place isn't that obvious, it will need some time to look it up. It is not so far to the tram station Müllerstraße. Its about 10-15 min on foot.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 17/11/2014Avaliação atualizada
I have now been here a couple of times and, tonight I came with three others who have not been here before.
All of us loved our meals. My roast beef was excellent and the horseradish cream that came with it was divine. The others immensely enjoyed their meal as well. We had Kaiserschmarrn for dessert and it was excellent. Loaded with lots of almond flakes and well caramalised, we all dug our forks in and got every single morsel of the dish out of the pan and, ate it ;-)) Picking off the bits on the edges of the pan that had become almost like toffee was the best part lol
As it was not so busy tonight the service was quite ok and the guy serving us was quite helpful when we needed it. It was also the first time I had sat inside and, the ambience was really good.
I would happily come here again. Good value for money and a nice ambience to boot. It is easy to have a nice meal and a beer or two here for about €15-20. It's only a 5 min walk from Frauenhoferstr U-Bahn station and, has an amazing chocolate shop right opposite, you can duck into, for some chocolate to take home ;-))Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 028/06/2014Avaliação anteriorA nice place for a drink or spot of lunch or dinner. There is a lot of outdoor seating and the service is polite albeit a bit disorganized today.
The Kaiserschmarrn here is really good and had a lot of nuts and raisins through it and it was crispy and stodgy. Also one of the best apflemuss I have had in a while. My Wurstsalat was also pretty good.
Prices are reasonable and all in all a good experience. I would come back here again for a drink or lunch. - Alexa W.Oakland, Estados Unidos2253877595/09/2016
Faun is an institution in Munich. I used to work around the corner and spent many a lunchtime enjoying their amazing (and cheap) lunch specials in the huge dining area. They have big tables, often used to seat several parties at one table (that's normal in Bavaria) - nice to get in contact with other patrons!
We came in the afternoon (around 2pm I think) and had really nice lunches - pork roast, Weißwürste and a salad with steak strips. The place was almost empty by that time (also, it was aining heavily outside, so unfortunately no sitting in front of the house at the tables there).
Service was fast and friendly as always and prices super reasonable. The lunch portions are smaller than the dinner portions, but that is reflected in the price and absolutely OK.
BTW: they serve breakfast until 4pm, so even the very late riser can still get their Latte Macchiato and Müsli fix.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Chantel H.Salt Lake City, Estados Unidos25946317988/01/2019
It was late on a Sunday and a lot of places are closed on Sunday's here, we needed somewhere to grab dinner because the Christmas markets weren't enough. We found this spot on our way home and it looked pretty popular. We decided to go inside without checked the Yelp reviews (very risky) it luckily wasn't too bad. The food was mediocre, the service was good. The highlight of my meal was the fries.. A very simple thing to make but they were delicious. I had better spatzel at the Christmas Markets. The food came out quickly and the inside was very relaxed dining. Not a meal I'll remember down the road, this place didn't wow me.

Faun! 3.5 stars I think is accurate for this place.
I was looking to get away from the touristy attractions and wanted to find a place that had great food, but also was just a regular spot, one that a local would visit. Yelp to the rescue.
The menu was diverse with reasonable prices making this the perfect place for my group. I call this ambiance modern rustic with the long family style seating wood tables, dim lighting and candle light making this a great spot for a casual dinner with friends or date night. I was there with the man and a German friend and everyone agreed: four stars.
The two boys went with the 1/2 duck and I went with the Wiener schnitzel. The salad that came before my meal was delicious and the inexpensive house red was perfect. My wiener schnitzel was solid, however I wouldn't order again. The boys' duck was literally half the bird. Both were completely infatuated with their perfectly seasoned, meaty, dish. They did have to go almost caveman style with this dish, so if you're not a fan of using the hands, this may be a miss. At about 14-16 euro, this was a really great dish. We passed on dessert since we all were literally stuffed to the gills and the final bill for three was about 80 Euro.
Definitely a local's spot more than a tourist spot which is what I like, so yeah, I'm a fan. Locals, give it a whirl and visitors looking to get away from the hubbub, this is definitely a great spot.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Judy C.Munique, Alemanha12270713610/08/2014
The (Art Nouveau) exterior of the restaurant caught our attention, so we decided to give this place a breakfast try.
On a sunny Sunday (har har), it was nice to sit outside of the restaurant and people watch. The service was nice and relatively fast (although there were not too many customers).
We ordered freshly pressed juices (apple/kiwi and mango/pineapple), and both were delicious. One could even choose the combination of fruits he/she wants in the juice. Not too shabby.
The breakfast options were limited. We tried the "Biovital" (tomato, avocado, basil on bread along with boiled egg and yogurt with fruits as well as "Florentina" (scrambled eggs with spinach and tomato). I asked for cheese on the eggs, and no problem! Nothing spectacular, but these dishes successfully did their jobs, which was to fill our tummies. And the prices were fair enough (14 € for a juice, a cappuccino, and a dish).
We could repeat this experience again.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christian K.Maxvorstadt, Munique, Alemanha29216/04/2017
Go there for the Kaiserschmarrn and for the beautiful location. They also have a solid Veggie-Burger, but really if you go there you want the Kaiserscharrn. They have a few TVs showing football (and maybe other sport events) which you might like -- or not. They served Hendricks Gin & Tonic with lime instead of cucumber, so maybe 3 stars would be more accurate. On the other hand just eat the Kaiserscharrn and drink beer and you'll be fine.

I never write a review, but now. A great local place with a good menu, audience and nice interior setup. The waitress should get some support, another waiter, and consult a therapist help her with her awful anger managment problems/ attitude. Aus gut Deutsch, scheiss unfreundlich. Greisslich!

The place offers tasty food at a reasonable price and the reason that I have rated this 3 stars is that I feel quality of the food is going down especially their salads which are no longer fresh nor look appealing on the plate.
I eat here quite often as I live on the street, the atmosphere is really chilled and laid back and the staff are really fun and nice.
The best dish they serve in my book is a really good wiener schnitzel from the calf but again the quality lacks in the vegetables, have said it to the waitress but they just apologized and offered an expresso on the house which is fare enough and really nice of her to do but in past months the food was really good but now I think they need to maybe up the quality or hire a new cook.
I see what happens when summer ends and see what happens with their food line, I may rate again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Utilizador Qype (SugarS…)Liverpool, Reino Unido37122/05/2009
This is a fabulous place, lovely food and really great service, which is a relative rarity in Munich. The staff are patient with non-German speakers and offer helpful translating of the menu with lots of hand gestures and animal noises would highly recommend. Food includes tasty basics for breakfast like salmon with rosti, and they have a fabulous tea selection especially if you like Dallmayr.
Brunch is served till 4pm on Sundays, making it perfect for a lazy day.
Word of warning: in the past inside Faun was like being in a smoker's lung. The smoking ban put paid to that, but it's set to be reversed, so if smoke is a problem take a good sniff before you order.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
